Ronne Hamerslag, CEO of Nordic Iron Ore, participates in the LIAM forum

Ronne Hamerslag, CEO of Nordic Iron Ore, will participate in the digital conference LIAM-Forum, which runs from 3 – 7 October. One goal of the conference is to inspire young people to get involved in sustainability issues by showing different career paths.

Nordic Iron Ore will build a modern mine based on electricity to the greatest extent possible.

“With an electric fleet, we can drastically reduce CO2 emissions, almost down to zero. Blötberget will have a low CO2 footprint per kilogram of iron ore concentrate. In addition, our iron ore concentrate will be used in green steel production, which further contributes to reduced CO2 emissions in the value chain,” says Nordic Iron Ore’s CEO Ronne Hamerslag.

The LIAM forum, to be hosted online at Brock University in Ontario, Canada, is a timely meeting space where thought-leaders and participants from across the globe, from academia, industry, think tanks, multi-lateral institutions and governments, will share their ideas, research findings and ideals. Many of the presenters are involved with key sustainability issues facing the world today, working to implement actionable, results-oriented solutions.

The Forum will also cover practical subjects related to identifying career opportunities, personal growth and networking.
