Mining concessions

The company has been granted Four mining concessions – two in Blötberget, one in Håksberg and one for the southern part of the Väsman field.

Blötberget
Nordic Iron Ore applied for a mining license in October 2010 and August 30, 2011 was granted an application by the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden. An extension area was approved August 2017. The mining concessions, which runs for 25 years with possibility of extension, implies the right of exploitation and utilization of iron, rare earths, and apatite.

Håksberg
Nordic Iron Ore applied for a mining concession for the Håksberg field in March 2011 and the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden granted this on 15 December 2011. The mining concession, which runs for 25 years with possibility of extension, implies the right of exploitation and utilization of iron, molybdenum, copper and tungsten.

South Väsman
Nordic Iron Ore applied for a mining concession for the South Väsman field in May 2015 and the Mining Inspectorate of Sweden granted this on 21 December 2017. The mining concession, which runs for 25 years with possibility of extension, implies the right of exploitation and utilization of iron.
